Erector set "All Electric" ferris wheel

"There is only one way to happiness, and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will." - Epictetus

This is the weekend that our church holds the annual yard sale fund-raiser.  This year when the wife was dropping off some items to donate for the yard sale, a different member of the congregation was dropping off a few items - one of which is below.  She had to buy it for me :)  Sweet lady.

It seems to be in great condition - pretty sure it's never been assembled.  I've no plans to assemble it either, it's just kinda retro cool!  It's a 1940-1950 kit.  In 1951 the "kneeling boy" on the lid was moved to the right side.

The A. C. Gilbert Company that manufactured the Ferris Wheel is the same one that sold Atomic Energy Laboratory kits as well.  I guess you had to provide your own lead shielding :)  That would be something wild to keep on the shelf in the office!
