Merry Christmas 2022

"If you don't read the paper, you are uninformed.  If you do read the paper, you are misinformed." - Mark Twain

Merry Christmas to one and all who happen to drop in.  Image below is the historic town marketplace at Tallinn, Estonia.

I'm working through most of the remainder of December, providing electricity for those who use it.  I don't mind doing that.  It's good to provide a needful service to my fellow human beings.  Sometimes the schedule has me working through Christmas, and sometimes it doesn't.  At home, we adjust our holiday schedule accordingly, and move on.

The wife bought an animated goat that plays Christmas music and does a little dance.  At the end of the cycle it screams and faints.  Sasha the Husky was most interested, barking and trying to sniff the goat's butt.  After a few cycles of dancing and fainting, we quit pushing the button on the goat, and Sasha was clearly disappointed.

We had a bit more snow, perhaps six inches, while I was working a series of five consecutive 12 hour night shifts.  The snow was on the ground for a couple of days until I had time off to plow.

As a result, the delivery service once again left packages out at the road.  I have to give them credit for inventing creative ways to prevent packages from getting buried in the snow :)

I plowed at church again as well, and the drive home afterwards was really pretty.  In the winter months, a clear day is rare.  It's always nice to be out when it's like this, although it's usually quite cold when this happens.

Merry Christmas!  Peace on Earth.
