I'd like to direct your attention to this Asia Times article on Transitioning to Renewables. It shines a light on some of the deep and troubling issues that you never hear renewables proponents bring up.
I'm not against renewables - far from it! But as we have discussed before, I don't think this is going to work out. It also seems bizarre to have politicians decree stuff that the laws of thermodynamics, physics, and availability of raw materials won't allow.
