A couple of Ridgid tools

"The first rule is to keep an untroubled spirit.  The second is to look things in the face and know them for what they are." - Marcus Aurelius

One item that purchased following the Labor Day wind storm and power outage: A USB phone charger.  This one attaches to a cordless power tool 18 volt lithium ion battery.  I have several of these batteries, and usually manage to keep them all at full charge.  This was pretty cheap for an emergency phone charging power source - it might be good for back-packing if there is cell service.  Anyway, it worked really well.  Obviously you don't need to use it after you get the generator set up, but if for some reason that's unavailable, you have several amp-hours of energy to charge phones with.

The other thing that arrived in the mail recently was this baby!  One of the other trustees at church used his vibrating multi-tool on a project, and it was amazing how well it cut through wood.  It went through like butter!  Ever since seeing his in action three years ago, I really really wanted one.  Now I finally have one that can use the 18 volt batteries.

I don't have any of the other heads that the guys in the video show, but that's OK.  I was really just excited to get the cutting head and the sanding tool.

Put me on the last 637 headed north. There must be one left, right? All real submarines are named after fish. And you need Q5 to be a real specop boat.
