Happy Husky

"We cease to be so angry once we cease to be so hopeful." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I have a dog that seems to enjoy the snow.  I wish the dog run was a bit larger, so she could get some speed up and exercise as much as she should.  She's still a puppy and likes to bite and chew quite a bit, but she is very smart, and getting better at following directions.  She is really a sweetheart and although she looks like a big bad scary wolf, she's easily frightened.  But mostly she's a happy playful girl.

Below:  How big she was last time she saw snow on the ground (March).

Your husky can curl up and sleep in the snow, and will be perfectly comfy and warm doing so. At least that's my limited experience with them. Husky's are wonderful(well trained ones) to take cross-country skiing. She's growing up to be a beauty.

Huskies are really well-insulated dogs - they come from Siberia after all! They are - along with most of the northern breeds - closely related to Russian Taimyr wolves. This dog just got fixed, so her entire belly is bare pink skin right now.

Did you know Huskies have webbed toes like a labrador, so that they can get through the snow more efficiently?
