Meanwhile, below: A photo of Arrowrock Dam, near where I grew up. It always felt a bit sketchy to drive along the dirt road at the left. It had no guard rails, and it was actually frightening when the river was flowing through the spillway at the left. The rocky outcropping was steep, the water was thundering loud, and the current was insane. You would be doomed if you went in - which happened to people from time to time.
So loud!
