"The most important relationship we can have is the one we have with ourselves. The most important journey you can undertake is the one of self-discovery. To know yourself, you must spend time with yourself. You must not be afraid to be alone, because knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom." - Aristotle
One of the boxes that I've been waiting for arrived today. That's the wiring harness from the truck. I haven't gotten into it yet, because there's not much point until I'm ready to actually begin re-wiring. That point is a week or two out, at least. I first need to drain coolant, disconnect electrical, and pull the engine out.
I must say, it came with very nice packaging. And look, a legitimate fuse block!
The new wiring harness should be a huge improvement over, and prevent situations like this one under the dash:
UPDATE (same day): Three more boxes arrived with in a different delivery vehicle later on.
These would be the boxes containing the replacement driver's side window, the stainless steel brake lines, and the correct engine mounts for a V-8 engine swap into this truck.
Here in my free time (Bwahahaha), I need to check the manufacturer's marks on the truck engine and find out what exactly is in there. It's definitely a Ford Small Block (FSB), probably a 302 cubic inch (5.0 liter).
What aftermarket parts will fit on the engine depends on how old it is, so I need to be cautious, and get that info before ordering engine parts. I'd like to add a 4 barrel carburetor and aluminum intake manifold and exhaust headers - and maybe a fancy pulley kits. The engine has a power steering pump that is not connected to anything, and that needs to go - or maybe have an aftermarket power steering system installed.
