A bit of music - and inermittent posting

"Thus it appears that exile helps, rather than hinders body and spirit, by treating them better than they treat themselves." - Gaius Musonius Rufus

Posts might be brief and/or intermittent for a bit.  I take a bit of time off in the spring to deal with the property and spend time with the family while the kid is on spring break.  I try to get things lined out for the summer months - lawnmower maintenance, fertilizing, knocking down the piles of dirt the snowplow moved, etc.

I've got a tree service scheduled to drop several massive ponderosa pines and a couple of large fir trees, and I'll be taking out a couple of dozen smaller fir trees myself.  So this includes limbing, burning and cutting the trunks into firewood.  It'll be a project.

Today though, it snowed a fair bit.  Hopefully this is about the end of it until November or so.

Don't have a lot to say at the moment, so I'm putting up a few cool YouTube music videos.

Below: Madonna singing backup vocals early in her career. LOL.

The Beat Farmers - an off-beat off-color rockabilly band from San Diego.  Their lyrics were pretty funny.  RIP Country Dick Montana - Lead singer and drummer.  Sadly, I never got to see these guys play a gig.  Which reminds me of a joke:  What's a musician?  Someone who packs $5000 worth of music equipment into a $500 car to play a $50 gig.

Beat Farmers - Lakeside Trailer Park.  Lakeside is/was a lower end suburb of San Diego.

Beat Farmers - Happy Boy

Beat Farmers - California Kid
