We had an opportunity this year to attend the North Idaho fair during it's 100th year, which was nice.
As usual, the weather was pretty hot, but it was not as hot as some past years. Immediately after entering the fairgrounds, I ran into an ex co-worker. It was good to see him again, and he and I had a pleasant visit for several minutes as we caught up.
Fair food is always a nice treat - there are so many sinful choices! I ate a corn dog and a few french fries - a rare treat these days, as I've been religiously doing intermittent fasting and keto for about 6 weeks. It shows - I'm looking a bit gaunt, and my clothes are getting slightly baggy.
The music was really cool. The fair had hired a retro 1960's band called "Summer of Love", who played old hits from the 60's - Monkees, Turtles, CCR, etc.
In addition to the 60's sound, they had the gear - a Rickenbacker guitar, as well as the look! Bell bottoms with stripes, the sunglasses, and the hair - I'm hoping those were wigs. The band is out of Santee, California. I wish they were local - it was a neat experience that I wouldn't mind repeating.

After eating a small amount of non-approved fair food, and checking out a few of the livestock animals, we went to the real show: All-American Rejects. A really good show. Very polished musicians.
