"No man is crushed by misfortune unless he has first been deceived by prosperity." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca
This disturbing chart comes to us courtesy of "The Visual Capitalist", and I thank them for the graphic. The chart reads left to right by age group, and top to bottom by number of followers.
I mean, look at this list - It's all incredibly shallow and trivial. Why should anyone give a fuck what these people have to say? What's more scary is that the influenced people "following" these folks also vote. We are SO screwed.

It isn't just social media. Televised media is also a big part of the same problem. I whole heartedly agree with you though. Just watched a video of Bill Gates. You should watch it. Lots of interesting, yet troubling, comments from him. Here's the link:

Unfortunately Bill Gates is right. The planet probably cannot continue to sustain so many people - especially when everyone on the planet is striving for a first-world lifestyle.
I hate when videos take snippets of a speech and use that to smear people - even if I don't particularly like them or their objectives. A snippet doesn't allow the context of the dialogue to be understood - so I found that part of the video to be very irritating.
Since I didn't get to hear the entire thing he was trying to explain, it's hard to understand exactly what he was talking about. Yes, the human population needs to be reduced before we all die unpleasantly. Birth control is a thing, and if people would just use it, things will probably work out fine.
