Some cool African music

"Frighened of change?  But what can exist without it?  What is closer to nature's heart?  Can you take a hot bath and leave the firewood as it was?  Eat food without transforming it?  Can an vital process take place without something being changed?

"Can't you see?  It's just the same with you - and just as vital to nature." - Marcus Aurelius

Just check these songs out.  Awesome beats and melodies! Below, A couple of albums by Fela Kuti.  These have really amazing arrangements and incredibly talented musicians.  Fela Kuti pioneered the Afrobeat sound - a combination of African, Cuban, funk and jazz music.  You can hear that influence in a lot of 1970's-era TV shows and movie soundtracks.

Below: Ali Farka Touire.  Again, amazing music.

Below:  Youssou N'Dour

Mamadou Diabate - this is a cool album.  The music is different than what we are used to hearing, but it's very good - it sounds almost Asian to an extent.
